South Sumatra Food Prices Today: Salt Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Thursday (27/6/2024) at 11.25 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased in price and 10 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, medium-grain rice, iodized fine salt, mackerel, and farmer-level corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, shallots, bulk wheat flour, curly red chilies, and red onions decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn prices surged the highest, up by Rp170 (3.1%) to Rp5,650 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chili prices fell the most sharply, down Rp1,840 (4.05%) to Rp43,610 per kg.

9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp27,250 per kg (down 0.04%)
10. Milkfish: Rp27,170 per kg (up 0.22%)
