Red Curly Chili Prices in North Sulawesi Increase by 37.82% in a Week

The price of curly red chilies in North Sulawesi reached Rp 81,450 per kg on Friday, March 4, 2022. Compared to other regions, this area experienced the highest price increase in the last week.

According to daily commodity price data from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center, the price of curly red chilies in North Sulawesi has increased by 37.82% in a week.

Compared to the price 30 days prior, the price of curly red chilies in this region has increased by 74.04%. This signifies a significant surge in price within a month. Furthermore, compared to the last year's prices, the current selling price of curly red chilies in North Sulawesi's modern markets is the highest on record.

From January to March 2022, the price of curly red chilies in modern markets continued to rise, increasing by 74.04% compared to the previous month.

The price of curly red chilies reached its lowest point at Rp 46,800 per kg on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. The highest price ever reached was around Rp 81,450 per kg.

Nationally, the price of curly red chilies started to rise towards the end of 2021. The average price of curly red chilies in modern markets was Rp 62,800 per kg, a 5% increase compared to the previous weekend.
