Indonesia's Food Price Update Today: Onion and Beef Prices Drop (Friday, March 1, 2024)

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (1/3/2024) at 13:34 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include granulated sugar, chicken eggs, bulk cooking oil, chicken meat, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), bulk wheat flour, red chilies, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish experienced the highest price increase of IDR 310 (0.92%) to IDR 33,850 per kg. Meanwhile, red chilies had the lowest price decrease of IDR 1,470 (2.32%) to IDR 61,790 per kg.
