2020 State Budget Approved, Here's its Structure

The 2020 State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) has been officially ratified. State revenue is targeted at Rp 2,233.2 trillion, a 0.53% increase from the Rp 2,221.5 trillion in the 2020 Draft State Budget (RAPBN). Changes also occurred in state expenditure, increasing by 0.46% from Rp 2,528.8 trillion in the 2020 APBN to Rp 2,540.4 trillion in the 2020 RAPBN.

Meanwhile, the deficit remains unchanged from the 2020 RAPBN at Rp 307.2 trillion, or 1.76% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Maintaining this APBN deficit aims to sustain economic growth momentum and avoid opportunity losses in driving the achievement of national development targets. Furthermore, this deficit will encourage innovative financing.

Deficit financing is sourced from debt financing of Rp 351.9 trillion, investment of -Rp 74.2 trillion, and loans of Rp 5.1 trillion. In addition, there is a guarantee obligation of negative Rp 0.6 trillion and other financing of Rp 25 trillion.
