Latest Food Prices in West Kalimantan: Chili Up, Sugar Down (Sunday, January 21, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in West Kalimantan today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Sunday (21/1/2024) at 12:42 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 13 commodities increased in price and 7 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, pure beef, dry soybean (import), premium rice, and medium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), fine iodized salt, granulated sugar, and Indian mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of corn at the farmer level saw the highest increase, jumping by Rp380 (4.47%) to Rp8,890 per kg. The lowest price decrease was seen in granulated sugar, dropping by Rp360 (2.07%) to Rp17,020 per kg.
