Reyna Usman, a Suspect in the Manpower Ministry Corruption Case, and Her Wealth During Her Tenure

Reyna Usman, former Director General of Manpower Placement and Transmigration at the Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration (Kemenakertrans) from 2011-2015, has been named a suspect in an alleged corruption case involving the procurement of an Indonesian worker (TKI) protection system.

At the time, Kemenakertrans was led by Muhaimin Iskandar, the General Chairperson of the National Awakening Party (PKB), who is currently a vice-presidential candidate.

Alexander Marwata, Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), stated that the project, undertaken in 2012, aimed to process TKI protection data quickly and accurately.

However, Reyna and two other suspects allegedly abused their authority, causing state losses of Rp17.6 billion.

"After various processes, from receiving reports to investigations, we obtained sufficient evidence to elevate the case to the investigation stage, and we are announcing the perpetrators or suspects," said Alexander Marwata in a press conference in Jakarta, as reported by *CNBC Indonesia*, Thursday (25/1/2024).

Reyna Usman's Wealth

Reyna repeatedly reported her wealth during her tenure at Kemenakertrans, until its name changed to the Ministry of Manpower (Kemenaker), in the KPK's Electronic State Officials' Wealth Report (LHKPN).

In 2015, while serving as Director General of Manpower Placement at Kemenakertrans, her assets totaled Rp46.9 billion.

By 2018, when she held the position of Secretary General at Kemenaker, her assets had increased to Rp51.57 billion.

However, in 2020, as a Senior Expert Staff for Public Policy at Kemenaker, her reported assets dropped to Rp26.8 billion.

According to sources, the majority of Reyna's wealth in 2020 came from land and buildings.

She was recorded as owning six plots of land and buildings, acquired through personal means and inheritance, valued at Rp26.5 billion.

Reyna also possessed cash and cash equivalents worth Rp480.87 million in 2021. However, she did not report any transportation or other movable assets.

Therefore, the total wealth of the PKS politician amounts to Rp26.8 billion.
