Daily Chicken Egg Prices at Traditional Markets, December 2023-2024

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 07:44 WIB, the daily price of chicken eggs in traditional markets in South Sumatra Province has not changed compared to the previous day, similar to the price trend over the past week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of chicken eggs in traditional markets has decreased from the previous record of Rp27,950.

Meanwhile, the daily price of chicken eggs in traditional markets in South Sumatra over the past three months has fallen by 4.26%. According to historical food price records in the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of chicken eggs in traditional markets in South Sumatra Province is traded at Rp28,200.

The record high for the daily price of chicken eggs in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in January 2021 with an increase of 19.24%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in January 2021 with a decrease of -19.01%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in South Sumatra show 11 commodities decreased and ten others increased. Basic commodities with price decreases include Fresh Chicken Eggs, Chicken Eggs, Granulated Sugar, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1, Cooking Oil, Red Chili, Green Chili, Chili, Premium Quality Granulated Sugar, Red Chili, and Local Granulated Sugar.

The following are the prices of basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price trend over the past month in South Sumatra Province:

6. Beef per Kg Rp170,150 per kg (up 1.49%)
7. Chicken Eggs per Kg Rp26,700 per kg (down 2.55%)
8. Shallots per Kg Rp49,700 per kg (up 55.56%)
9. Large Red Chili per Kg Rp73,400 per kg (up 5.31%)
