West Kalimantan's Medium-Sized Red Onion Price is the Highest in Indonesia (Thursday, March 3, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of medium-sized shallots (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces at Rp 44,590 per kg as of Thursday, March 3, 2022. Overall, the average this week increased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 43,100 per kg.

The daily price of medium-sized shallots in modern markets in West Kalimantan was the highest in Indonesia at Rp 59,500 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of medium-sized shallots in this province has not changed. The highest price ever recorded in this region was Rp 90,400 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in West Papua, the price of medium-sized shallots was Rp 58,650 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of medium-sized shallots in North Maluku was Rp 52,950 per kg, Gorontalo Rp 50,950 per kg, and Central Java Rp 47,500 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are nine provinces with sales of medium-sized shallots below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for medium-sized shallots are East Java, Jambi, and North Kalimantan.
