East Java Food Prices Today: Chili Prices Up, Salt Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (2/6/2024) at 13.07 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, bulk wheat flour, medium rice, bulk cooking oil, and farmer-level corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, red chilies, garlic bulbs, pure beef, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp820 (2.13%) to Rp39,280 per kg. Iodized fine salt had the lowest price decrease, falling Rp310 (3.25%) to Rp9,230 per kg.
