The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) released data in November 2018 showing inflation of 0.27% compared to the previous month (MoM). Meanwhile, calendar year inflation (January-November/Ytd) 2018 reached 2.5%, and year-on-year inflation (November 2018 compared to November 2017/YoY) was 3.23%.
This November inflation reflects an increase in the index for the transportation, communication, and financial services group by 0.56%, followed by food by 0.24%, health by 0.36%, and housing, water, electricity, gas, and fuel by 0.25%. The highest inflation in November 2018 was recorded in Merauke at 2.05%, while the highest deflation was in Medan at -0.64%.
Meanwhile, core inflation in November 2018 was 0.22%, government-administered inflation was 0.53%, and volatile inflation was 0.23%. Energy inflation was 0.28%.
