Red Chili Pepper Prices in East Kalimantan Highest in the Nation (Tuesday, June 4, 2024)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of red chili peppers (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces at Rp 82,230 per kg, as of Tuesday, June 4, 2024. Overall, the average this week decreased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 84,670 per kg.

The daily price of red chili peppers in modern markets in East Kalimantan was the most expensive in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 159,900 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of red chili peppers in this province is higher. Previously, it was recorded at Rp 64,900 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in South Kalimantan, red chili peppers were sold at Rp 133,900 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of red chili peppers in West Kalimantan was Rp 125,000 per kg, East Nusa Tenggara Rp 119,900 per kg, and Bangka Belitung Islands Rp 113,950 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 18 provinces with red chili pepper sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for red chili peppers are South Sumatra, East Java, and West Sulawesi.
