Latest Food Prices in East Java: Rice and Chicken Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are monitored to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (6/1/2025) at 15.32 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include simple packaged cooking oil, broiler chicken meat, dry soybean (import), farmer-level corn, and red chili peppers.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken eggs, garlic cloves, medium rice, pure beef, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili peppers saw the highest price increase of Rp8,650 (10.71%) to Rp89,450 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chilies experienced the sharpest price drop of Rp2,190 (4.38%) to Rp47,830 per kg.
