Food Prices on Monday (8/7) in Yogyakarta Special Region: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Monday (8/7/2024) at 13.05 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are premium rice, red chilies, bulk cooking oil, milkfish, and red chili peppers.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, garlic bulbs, skipjack tuna, mackerel, and packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili peppers saw the highest price increase of Rp4,090 (10.96%) to Rp41,410 per kg. Skipjack tuna experienced the largest price decrease of Rp990 (2.9%) to Rp33,170 per kg.
