Today's Food Prices in East Java: Rice, Salt, and Egg Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (8/6/2024) at 08.01 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are packaged simple cooking oil, skipjack tuna, premium rice, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken, farmer-level corn, medium rice, bulk cooking oil, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna experienced the highest price increase of Rp1,370 (4.54%) to Rp31,560 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili peppers saw the lowest price decrease of Rp3,010 (9.97%) to Rp27,190 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 20 food commodities in East Java according to Bapanas as of June 8, 2024, at 08.01 WIB.

7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp31,560 per kg (up 4.54%)
8. Milkfish: Rp30,710 per kg (down 6.88%)
9. Red Chili Peppers: Rp27,190 per kg (down 9.97%)
