Today's Food Prices in DKI Jakarta: Chili Peppers Up, Salt Down

The prices of several food commodities in Jakarta today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 10:51 WIB, out of 22 commodities, 7 commodities increased in price and 12 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include large red chilies, red chili peppers, skipjack tuna, chicken eggs, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, shallots, granulated sugar, packaged wheat flour, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of mackerel experienced the highest increase of Rp1,528 (3.7%) to Rp42,778 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of granulated salt saw the largest decrease of Rp739 (6.09%) to Rp11,400 per kg.
