The Price of Medium I Quality Rice in Southeast Sulawesi is the Highest in Indonesia (Friday, September 9, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of Rp 13,410 per kg for medium I quality rice (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces as of Friday, September 9, 2022. Overall, the average this week increased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 13,400 per kg.

The price of medium I quality rice in modern markets in Southeast Sulawesi was the most expensive in Indonesia, at Rp 17,000 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of medium I quality rice in this province has not changed. The highest price ever recorded in this region was Rp 20,100 per kg.

Meanwhile, in Banten's modern markets, the price of medium I quality rice was sold at Rp 16,350 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of medium I quality rice in Yogyakarta was Rp 15,650 per kg, West Sumatra Rp 15,300 per kg, and South Sulawesi Rp 14,500 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 20 provinces with medium I quality rice sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for medium I quality rice are East Java, Jambi, and West Sulawesi.
