Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Egg Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (3/12/2024) at 16.28 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are pure beef, dry soybean (import), garlic cloves, chicken eggs, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as mackerel, skipjack tuna, farmer-level corn, fine iodized salt, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The commodity with the highest price increase was dry soybean (import), up by Rp140 (1.52%) to Rp9,350 per kg. The sharpest price decrease was red chili, down by Rp550 (2.09%) to Rp25,790 per kg.
