Indonesia's Food Prices on Tuesday (March 25th): Egg, Chili, and Onion Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday (25/3/2025) at 14.17 WIB, out of 25 commodities, 15 commodities increased in price and 9 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, pure beef, broiler chicken, skipjack tuna, and packaged wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as fresh buffalo meat (local), SPHP rice, table salt, Indian mackerel, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies saw the highest increase, jumping Rp1,531 (2.93%) to Rp53,776 per kg. Farmer-level corn experienced the largest price drop, falling Rp49 (0.78%) to Rp6,236 per kg.
