Chili Pepper Prices in Gorontalo Increase by 17% in a Week

The price of chili peppers in Gorontalo was Rp 66,400 per kg on Friday, February 18, 2022. Compared to other regions, this is the highest price increase in the last week.

According to daily commodity price data from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center, chili pepper prices in Gorontalo have increased by 17% in a week.

Compared to the price 30 days prior, the price of chili peppers in the region is still lower by -26.02%.

However, over the past year, the selling price of chili peppers in Gorontalo's modern markets has actually decreased. The previous highest record reached Rp 153,700 per kg.

For the period of January-February 2022, the price of chili peppers in modern markets showed a downward trend, decreasing by -26.02% compared to the previous month.

The price of chili peppers reached its lowest point at Rp 56,750 per kg on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. The highest price ever reached was around Rp 118,500 per kg.

Nationally, chili pepper prices began to rise towards the end of 2021. The average price of chili peppers in modern markets was Rp 78,760 per kg, up 2.17% compared to the previous weekend.
