Current Food Prices in East Java: Beef and Oil Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are monitored to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (23/7/2024) at 15.11 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include iodized fine salt, mackerel, simple packaged cooking oil, red chilies, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as farmer-level corn, chicken eggs, milkfish, broiler chicken, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase, jumping Rp480 (5.18%) to Rp9,750 per kg. Farmer-level corn saw the sharpest price drop, decreasing by Rp60 (1.18%) to Rp5,040 per kg.
