Today's Food Prices in East Java: Sugar, Chicken, and Salt Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (9/9/2024) at 11:25 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased in price and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, shallots, premium rice, medium rice, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, dry soybean (import), pure beef, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp580 (6.12%) to Rp10,060 per kg. Curly red chilies experienced the sharpest price drop, falling Rp1,020 (4.33%) to Rp22,560 per kg.
