Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Onion, Red Chili, and Rice Prices Rise

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (October 3, 2025) at 13:55 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 13 increased and 10 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include red onion, packaged cooking oil, mackerel, packaged wheat flour, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as pure beef, dried soybean (imported), skipjack tuna, broiler chicken meat, and corn at the farmer level decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili recorded the highest increase of Rp1,434 (2.65%) to Rp55,590 per kg. Meanwhile, corn prices at the farmer level dropped the sharpest by Rp120 (1.79%) to Rp6,600 per kg.
