Today's Food Prices in Yogyakarta Special Region: Onions Up, Chilies Down

The price of several food commodities in Yogyakarta Special Region today is observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (24/6/2024) at 13.09 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are premium rice, shallots, chicken eggs, granulated sugar, and medium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, skipjack tuna, mackerel, whole cloves of garlic, and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp680 (1.83%) to Rp37,930 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili peppers experienced the steepest price drop, falling Rp1,530 (5.22%) to Rp27,780 per kg.
