West Sumatra Food Prices Week of April 13th: Beef, Sugar, and Red Chili Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (13/4/2025) at 16.35 WIB, out of 24 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, packaged wheat flour, bulk wheat flour, dry soybean (import), and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, SPHP rice, farmer-level corn, broiler chicken meat, and table salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The commodity with the highest price increase was large red chilies, up by Rp11,476 (21.31%) to Rp65,333 per kg. The commodity with the largest price decrease was farmer-level corn, down by Rp93 (1.58%) to Rp5,798 per kg.
