Jakarta, Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Onion Prices Rise, Salt Prices Fall (Monday, January 22, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (22/1/2024) at 10:09 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 10 commodities increased in price and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include wheat flour (bulk), red chilies, broiler chicken, granulated sugar, and curly red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, simple packaged cooking oil, shallots, mackerel, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp3,760 (9.94%) to Rp41,600 per kg. Skipjack tuna experienced the lowest price decrease of Rp4,450 (11.88%) to Rp33,020 per kg.
