Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra: Prices of Onions, Salt, and Beef Drop

Prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (20/9/2024) at 09.58 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, premium rice, skipjack tuna, curly red chilies, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), granulated sugar, bulk wheat flour, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna experienced the highest price increase of Rp4,660 (12.48%) to Rp41,990 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili experienced the steepest price decrease of Rp11,020 (20.85%) to Rp41,830 per kg.

9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp27,670 per kg (down 4.26%)
