Daily Prices of Red Chili Peppers in Modern Markets of Central Java Province Have Decreased by 8.25% Over the Past Month

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of red chili peppers in modern markets in Central Java Province is recorded at Rp53,950 per kg. This price is down Rp300 per kg compared to the previous day.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of red chili peppers in modern markets has decreased from Rp58,800 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of red chili peppers in modern markets in Central Java over the past three months has fallen by 17.13%. According to historical food price records in the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of red chili peppers in modern markets in Central Java Province was traded at Rp65,100 per kg.

The record high for the daily price of red chili peppers in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in February 2017 with an increase of 302.27%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in April 2017 with a decrease of -26.11%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in Central Java show 14 commodities decreased and 15 others increased. Basic commodities with price decreases include Red Chili, Red Chili Peppers, Large Red Chili, Green Chili Peppers, Chili Peppers, Curly Red Chili, Chicken Meat, Beef, Grade 1 Beef, Grade 2 Beef, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2, Medium-Sized Garlic, Low-Quality Rice I, and Super Quality Rice I.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to price developments over the past month in Central Java Province:

8. Low Quality Rice II per Kg Rp13,000 per kg (up 5.26%)
9. Curly Red Chili per Kg Rp46,650 per kg (down 0.32%)
10. Chicken Meat per Kg Rp40,700 per kg (down 1.93%)
