According to daily commodity price monitoring data from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center, the price of medium-sized shallots in West Kalimantan increased by 20.2% within a week.

Compared to prices 30 days prior, the price of medium-sized shallots in this region has increased by 38.37%. This signifies a significant surge within a month. Furthermore, compared to the last year's prices, the current selling price of medium-sized shallots in West Kalimantan's modern markets is the highest on record.

For the January-May 2022 period, the price of medium-sized shallots in modern markets continued to rise, increasing by 38.37% compared to the previous month.

The price of medium-sized shallots reached its lowest point at Rp 43,000 per kg on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. The highest price reached this year was around Rp 59,500 per kg.

Nationally, the price of medium-sized shallots began to rise towards the end of 2021. The average price of medium-sized shallots in modern markets was Rp 47,830 per kg, a 2.33% increase compared to the previous weekend.
