Indonesia's Daily Food Prices: Chili, Onion, and Chicken Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (20/9/2024) at 14:26 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), medium-grain rice, fine iodized salt, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, dry soybean (import), red onions, red chilies, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Fine iodized salt saw the highest price increase, jumping by Rp50 (0.43%) to Rp11,550 per kg. The price of corn at the farmer level saw the sharpest decrease, dropping by Rp50 (0.83%) to Rp5,980 per kg.
