Today's Food Prices (Jan 23) in South Sumatra: Bird's Eye Chili Up, Red Chili Down

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today were observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Commodity Price Monitoring System of the Ministry of Trade (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (January 23, 2026) at 18:01 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 3 commodities increased and 3 commodities decreased.

The commodities with increased prices are Honan garlic, red bird's eye chili, and shallots.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as premium rice, large red chili, and curly red chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chili recorded the highest increase of Rp750 (1.71%) to Rp44,583 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of large red chili saw the sharpest decrease of Rp750 (2.05%) to Rp35,750 per kg.
