Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Onions Up, Salt Down (Wednesday, February 21, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (21/2/2024) at 10:33 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, broiler chicken meat, simple packaged cooking oil, bulk cooking oil, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as mackerel, premium rice, red chilies, iodized fine salt, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp910 (2.71%), reaching Rp34,450 per kg. Iodized fine salt had the lowest price decrease of Rp780 (6.58%), reaching Rp11,080 per kg.
