Current Food Prices in South Sumatra: Salt Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday (23/7/2024) at 09:49 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include iodized fine salt, dry soybean (import), medium rice, chicken eggs, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, pure beef, SPHP rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase of Rp350 (3.08%) to Rp11,700 per kg. Milkfish experienced the largest price decrease of Rp730 (2.69%) to Rp26,400 per kg.
