Latest Food Prices in Yogyakarta Special Region: Onion Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta Special Region today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (8/9/2024) at 14.25 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 6 commodities increased in price and 4 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price are shallots, medium-grain rice, bulk cooking oil, iodized fine salt, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, shallots, red cayenne peppers, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp250 (1.2%) to Rp21,030 per kg. Red chilies experienced the largest price drop, falling Rp1,570 (6.99%) to Rp20,880 per kg.
