Latest Food Prices in Yogyakarta Special Region: Chili Prices Rise, Red Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, D.I. today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (5/4/2025) at 14.03 WIB, out of 22 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, granulated sugar, SPHP rice, packaged cooking oil, and packaged wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, bulk wheat flour, curly red chilies, skipjack tuna, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili peppers saw the highest price increase, jumping by Rp3,000 (3.7%) to Rp84,182 per kg. Curly red chilies experienced the sharpest price drop, decreasing by Rp9,682 (15.81%) to Rp51,545 per kg.
