Bengkulu Food Price Update Today: Chili and Salt Prices Rise (Sunday, January 21, 2024)

Food prices in Bengkulu today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Sunday (21/1/2024) at 09.29 WIB, out of 18 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, Indian mackerel, skipjack tuna, red chilies, and shallots (bonggol).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), broiler chicken meat, bulk wheat flour, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna prices saw the highest increase, jumping Rp1,940 (8.37%) to Rp25,130 per kg. Broiler chicken meat prices saw the lowest decrease, falling Rp1,470 (4.27%) to Rp32,930 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 18 food commodities in Bengkulu according to Bapanas as of January 21, 2024, at 09.29 WIB.

4. Red Chili (Rawit): Rp41,380 per kg (up 4.89%)
5. Shallot (Bonggol): Rp38,190 per kg (up 0.13%)
6. Shallot: Rp34,370 per kg (up 0.76%)
7. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp32,930 per kg (down 4.27%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp25,660 per kg (up 0.16%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp25,130 per kg (up 8.37%)
10. Granulated Sugar: Rp17,010 per kg (down 1.79%)
11. Packaged Cooking Oil (Simple): Rp15,710 per liter (down 0.63%)
