Current Food Prices in Banten: Cooking Oil Up, Red Chilies Down

The price of several food commodities in Banten today is observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (8/4/2025) at 12:34 WIB, out of 25 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, bulk wheat flour, medium rice, chicken eggs, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, bulk cooking oil, chicken meat, table salt, and packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna prices surged the highest by Rp2,325 (6.88%) to Rp36,143 per kg. Meanwhile, large red chili prices decreased the most by Rp8,786 (14.25%) to Rp52,857 per kg.
