February Spending on Information, Communication, and Financial Services in Luwuk Increased by 0.09%

Information, communication, and financial services expenditure in Luwuk in February increased by 0.09%. This figure remained stable for the past two months. Among the eight inflation groups measured in this region, the information, communication, and financial services group contributed 0.09% to regional inflation.

The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) reported that the consumer price index (CPI) for information, communication, and financial services in Luwuk stood at 100.06 in February 2024, higher than the previous month's 99.97.

Compared to the same month last year, inflation in information, communication, and financial services reached 0.6% (year-on-year/YoY). Compared to the beginning of the year, expenditure in Luwuk grew by 0.09% (year-to-date/YTD).

Based on BPS survey data for February 2024, these 11 inflation groups ranked seventh compared to other subgroups.

The following are the sub-group inflation rates for information, communication, and financial services measured by BPS in Luwuk for February:

Compared to 68 other regencies/cities, the highest inflation in information, communication, and financial services occurred in Palu city, down 0.01% with a CPI of 99.97, and the lowest occurred in Jayapura city at 0.28% with a CPI of 99.7. Luwuk ranked ninth.

Indonesia's inflation in February 2024 reached 0.37% monthly and -7.52% annually. Although higher than the previous month's inflation, this monthly inflation rate was not as high as the same period last year, which was recorded at 5.47%.
