Food Prices Monday (Sept 29) West Sumatra Region: Salt and Oil Prices Rise

Prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today were observed to rise compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (Sept 29, 2025) at 15:07 WIB, out of 24 commodities, 12 increased and 10 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include bulk wheat flour, premium rice, SPHP rice, large red chili, and broiler eggs.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as curly red chili, shallots, consumption sugar, broiler meat, and packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The large red chili commodity saw the highest increase of Rp7,468 (12.35%) to Rp67,923 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red cayenne pepper had the deepest decrease of Rp4,953 (8.61%) to Rp52,575 per kg.

6. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp52,575 per kg (down 8.61%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp41,818 per kg (down 1.65%)
8. Milkfish: Rp40,000 per kg (unchanged)
9. Broiler Meat: Rp37,119 per kg (down 0.48%)
10. Garlic Bulb: Rp34,540 per kg (down 0.64%)
