Sumatera Selatan Food Prices Today: Salt Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (29/8/2024) at 11:18 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 6 commodities increased in price and 15 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price are milkfish, dry soybean (import), iodized fine salt, shallot bulbs, and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chili peppers, granulated sugar, pure beef, farmer-level corn, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp320 (2.8%) to Rp11,730 per kg. Farmer-level corn experienced the largest price decrease of Rp430 (6.43%) to Rp6,260 per kg.

8. Milkfish: Rp26,790 per kg (up 0.75%)
9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp26,090 per kg (down 0.91%)
