Current Food Prices in Banten: Prices of Sugar, Rice, and Red Chili Peppers Fall

The price of several food commodities in Banten today is observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (17/4/2025) at 14.51 WIB, out of 25 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, medium rice, farmer-level corn, frozen buffalo meat (import), and fresh buffalo meat (local).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as large red chilies, red chilies, bulk cooking oil, curly red chilies, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase of Rp750 (10.34%) to Rp8,000 per kg. Large red chilies saw the sharpest price drop of Rp2,528 (4.57%) to Rp52,750 per kg.
