These Are the Villages with the Highest Original Village Revenue in Bali

A village's ability to manage its affairs can be seen from how far the village government can explore funding potential, reflected in its original village revenue (PADesa). The higher the contribution of original regional revenue to the total village revenue, the higher the village's level of independence. Bali Province is one of Indonesia's favorite tourist destinations. Last year's total PADesa in Bali reached Rp 55.9 billion.

Bali's PADesa in 2018 increased by 87.5% compared to 2017, which was Rp 29.8 billion. The three regencies/cities with the highest PADesa realization are Badung Regency, Buleleng Regency, and Tabanan Regency. Badung Regency previously only had a PADesa of Rp 2.9 billion in 2017, ranking fourth in Bali Province. However, in 2018, the PADesa in that regency increased by 843.8% to Rp 26.7 billion.

Second place is Buleleng Regency with a PADesa realization of Rp 11.4 billion, or a 19% increase compared to 2017, which was Rp 9.6 billion. Third place is Tabanan Regency with Rp 4.9 billion, up 256.7% from 2017's Rp 1.4 billion. Regencies with decreased PADesa are Jembrana, Gianyar, and Bangli, by 37.4%, 41.5%, and 1.3%, respectively.
