Sri Mulyani, Minister of Finance, reported that state revenue in the State Budget (APBN) reached Rp924.9 trillion by April 2024.

This figure is down 7.6% year-on-year (yoy) from Rp1,000.6 trillion in April 2023.

State revenue consists of two main components: tax revenue and non-tax state revenue (PNBP).

Tax revenue was recorded at Rp719.9 trillion by April 2024, a sharp 8% yoy decrease from Rp782.7 trillion in April 2023. Meanwhile, PNBP was recorded at Rp203.3 trillion by April 2024, down 6.7% (yoy) from Rp217.9 trillion in April 2023.

Sri Mulyani also explained that state expenditure by April 2024 was recorded at Rp849.2 trillion, up 10.9% (yoy) from Rp765.8 trillion in April 2023.

State expenditure consists of central government expenditure (BPP) of Rp591.7 trillion and transfers to regions (TKD) of Rp257.5 trillion.

In addition, the primary balance was recorded at Rp237.1 trillion in April 2024. This figure fell 36.7% (yoy) from Rp374.4 trillion in April 2023.

Despite the decline in revenue, Indonesia's total APBN posture remained in surplus at Rp75.7 trillion. This figure plummeted by 67.8% (yoy) from the April 2023 surplus of Rp234.9 trillion. Sri Mulyani stated that this position is still safe.
