Sumatera Selatan Food Prices Today: Rice Prices Up, Beef Prices Down

The price of several food commodities in South Sumatra today is observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (21/12/2024) at 09.44 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, medium-grain rice, milkfish, bulk cooking oil, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as garlic bulbs, pure beef, bulk wheat flour, farmer-level corn, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Medium-grain rice saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp560 (4.61%) to Rp12,720 per kg. Farmer-level corn experienced the sharpest price drop, falling Rp390 (6.4%) to Rp5,700 per kg.

9. Milkfish: Rp28,440 per kg (up 3.49%)
