Jakarta Food Prices Thursday (26/12): Chicken, Rice, and Onion Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (26/12/2024) at 14:19 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 8 commodities increased in price and 6 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include granulated sugar, shallot garlic, broiler chicken, iodized fine salt, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chili peppers, simple packaged cooking oil, skipjack tuna, curly red chilies, and mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of broiler chicken saw the highest increase, jumping Rp6,670 (24.7%) to Rp33,670 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of mackerel saw the sharpest decrease, dropping Rp7,870 (22.49%) to Rp27,130 per kg.
