Current Food Prices in Yogyakarta Special Region: Cooking Oil Up, Shallots Down

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta Special Region today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (2/6/2024) at 08.35 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, simple packaged cooking oil, skipjack tuna, milkfish, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, curly red chilies, granulated sugar, red onions, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish experienced the highest price increase of Rp5,170 (13.67%) to Rp43,000 per kg. Red onions saw the lowest price decrease of Rp10,780 (24.62%) to Rp33,000 per kg.

2. Milkfish: Rp43,000 per kg (up 13.67%)
3. Mackerel: Rp38,000 per kg (up 0.96%)
4. Shallot Bulbs: Rp36,000 per kg (down 4.36%)
5. Curly Red Chilies: Rp35,000 per kg (down 13.94%)
6. Chicken Meat: Rp35,000 per kg (down 4.08%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp34,000 per kg (up 0.12%)
8. Red Onions: Rp33,000 per kg (down 24.62%)
9. Red Chili Peppers: Rp30,000 per kg (down 4.61%)
