10 Provinces with the Highest Local White Sugar Prices (Tuesday, September 27, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of local granulated sugar (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces at Rp 13,920 per kg, as of Tuesday, September 27, 2022. Overall, the average this week decreased compared to last week's average of Rp 13,940 per kg.

The daily price of local granulated sugar in modern markets in Gorontalo was the most expensive in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 17,000 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of local granulated sugar in this province has not changed. The highest selling price ever recorded in this region was Rp 21,000 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in West Papua, the price of local granulated sugar was sold at Rp 15,800 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of local granulated sugar in Papua was Rp 15,500 per kg, Maluku Rp 15,500 per kg, and Riau Rp 15,000 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 21 provinces with local granulated sugar sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for local granulated sugar are DKI Jakarta, Lampung, and Riau Islands.
