Indonesia Food Prices Friday (September 6th): Onions Up, Salt Down

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (6/9/2024) at 08.02 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 16 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, premium rice, skipjack tuna, broiler chicken, and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, granulated sugar, bulk cooking oil, iodized fine salt, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red onion experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp1,270 (4.93%) to Rp27,020 per kg. Milkfish experienced the sharpest price decrease, down by Rp1,970 (5.94%) to Rp31,190 per kg.
