Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Prices of Chicken, Rice, and Chili Peppers Drop

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (11/4/2025) at 12:52 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, kembung fish, curly red chilies, shallots, and packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, broiler chicken meat, chicken eggs, packaged wheat flour, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp2,267 (5.02%) to Rp47,394 per kg. Broiler chicken meat experienced the sharpest price drop of Rp462 (1.4%) to Rp32,522 per kg.
