Red Chili Pepper Prices in East Kalimantan Highest in the Nation (Friday, May 20, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of large red chilies (per kg) in modern markets in several provinces reaching Rp 81,810 per kg, as of Friday, May 20, 2022. Overall, the average this week increased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 78,730 per kg.

The daily price of large red chilies in modern markets in East Kalimantan was the most expensive in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 121,200 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of large red chilies in this province has not changed. The highest selling price ever recorded in this region is Rp 121,200 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in North Sulawesi, large red chilies were sold at Rp 97,700 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of large red chilies in Bangka Belitung Islands was Rp 94,900 per kg, Jambi Rp 89,900 per kg, and North Kalimantan Rp 87,500 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are seven provinces with large red chili sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for large red chilies are East Java, North Maluku, and Bali.
