Current Food Prices in West Sumatra: Onion, Beef, and Oil Prices Decrease

Prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (July 30, 2025) at 08:38 AM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases include fresh buffalo meat (local), broiler chicken eggs, packaged cooking oil, consumption sugar, and packaged wheat flour.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, SPHP rice, Minyakita (cooking oil brand), pure beef, and dry soybean seeds (imported) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili commodity surged the highest by Rp8,828 (25.46%) to Rp43,500 per kg. Meanwhile, milkfish price dropped the deepest by Rp40,000 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
